Casa Sylvia is situated in the quiet and exclusive Atascadero neighborhood, also known as The Estate area of San Miguel de Allende. The house offers a greater amount of outdoor space than is found in the Centro, as it includes a large patio, yard, and garden. The Atascadero sits just above the city, so it is much less noisy and offers terrific views. It is the perfect place to relax and unravel after experiencing the hustle and bustle of the city.

This home is around a 10 minute walk to the center, down quaint, cobblestoned streets. It takes a little longer to come back up, but cabs are easily found for 60 pesos (around $30.00 USD). I would not recommend driving down to the center of town with your own car because parking is hard to come by. Also within walking distance or a short ride away are: • El Charco del Ingenio- a sprawling botanical garden and nature reserve (about a 10 minute walk, 4 min drive) • El Tianguis (Tuesday Market) open air market (20 min walk, 7 min drive) • Luciernaga Mall - contains a large grocery store (Soriana), movie theatre, Liverpool department store and more (8 min drive) cabs to go anywhere in San Miguel are inexpensive (65 pesos max). There are also buses that go to neighboring cities like Pozos and Guanajuato. If you come with a car, there is a secure garage.
