MLS ID: SMA10187 - Casa Finlandia

Introducing Casa Finlandia—a thoughtfully designed retreat by architect Escobedo Solis, located within the historic town of Mineral de Pozos in Guanajuato’s Sierra Gorda region. Surrounded by dramatic desert landscapes, centuries-old mines, and iconic stone structures, the home is deeply rooted in the area’s architectural and cultural heritage.

Constructed with adobe walls, artisan brick, and locally sourced materials, the home embraces natural climate efficiency and timeless craftsmanship. UV-protected windows frame the landscape while maintaining interior comfort. A thoughtfully designed central courtyard draws in daylight and fresh air, serving as the heart of the home. All around, a vibrant collection of native cactus species completes the organic, desert–mountain ambiance.

A cozy gas fireplace warms the home’s living area, creating an inviting and intimate space to unwind. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, offering modern convenience within the home’s artisanal aesthetic. The bathroom features heated floors and a refined Chukum wall, complemented by a refreshing outdoor shower for warm, sunlit days. Convenient outdoor storage provides functional space while preserving the minimalist design.

For future expansion, complete architectural plans for adding a second floor are available, ensuring any addition aligns beautifully with the original vision.

Casa Finlandia is a thoughtful blend of artistry, comfort, and nature—an intimate retreat shaped by the land and crafted for inspired living. Perfectly positioned just one hour from Querétaro and San Miguel de Allende, the home offers the ideal balance of privacy and accessibility.
